A single cask Speyside whisky from the Strathmill distillery. This was bottled as part of the Managers Choice range from Diageo. Distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2009, cask number 5503.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!
Almost creamy aroma, notes of vanilla, creme brûlée. Taste is very powerful (partly due to 60% alcohol!), reminiscent of my first tastes of talisker, but with none of the smoke, quite rich and big flavour in the back of the mouth. Very complex!
