A 13 year old Springbank matured in cask 123, which as you may have gathered from the 'slightly' dark hue, was indeed a sherry cask. Bottled as part of Duncan Taylor's Dimensions range, this is a non-chill filtered, cask strength release with natural colour.
Eccles cakes, apple pie. Dark caramel and granary toast.
Chewy dates and dried apricots, sultanas and antique furniture.
Comforting and smoky with a little spice.
Reassuring and fairly robust, an enjoyable single cask Campbeltown whisky.
Lucky me... I´ve got one and I like it very much.. 93p
