A single cask from Springbank. This was distilled on the 12th of February 1969, aged for 40 years in refill sherry butt number 263, and bottled at cask strength on the 14th September 2009 by Signatory. A release of 356 individually numbered decanter bottles packaged in a stunning wooden presentation case.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Orange zest, rich, very full with notes of sugared peels, hazelnut, marzipan and spice.
Palate
Very thick and fruity, loads of body. Rich notes of toffee, marmalade on granary toast, malt and spice.Finish Long, great body, develops with fruit and spice.
