Secret Stills Lowland 1989 Bottling Note
This Secret Stills bottling is from a secret distillery in the Lowlands, distilled in 1989. The bottlers ask "can you unravel the secret…?" Well, can you? It was distilled at Dalmuir in the Lowlands, at a distillery founded in 1823, which overlooks the River Clyde.
The nose is sweet and fresh with plenty of sherry, a hint of oak and cut herbs with a green character, acacia honey and cut hay. The palate is rich and punchy with notes of winter spice and caramelised sugar, toffee, butterscotch and aniseed. The finish is long and gentle with a little sherry.
