Bowmore 7 Bottling Note

7 year old Bowmore, bottled for Murray McDavid. This was distilled at the Bowmore distillery in 2002, aged in bourbon barrels and then finished in casks from First Growth Bordeaux winery Château Latour. Bottled at Bruichladdich in 2009 as part of an outturn of 1,700 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Peaty, smoky, citrussy. Big Islay character, with the red berry fruits and spice from the wine cask. Dry and spicy.

Palate: Hints of tannic prune, cherry and apricot. Nutmeg, ginger and allspice.

Finish: Very fruity, gingery, hints of brandy and citrus.
