American single malt whiskey (with an 'e'). One of the increasing range of smaller, more boutique whiskeys coming out of the states. Well worth a try.

Worst rotgut I have drank since High School. Horrible, horrible stuff and my neighbor bought a bottle for us to share. Ugghh!
