Nose: A very waxy, zest-driven nose with lemon meringue pie, burning tires, paraffin, hints of linseed oil and cut hay.
Palate: Gingerbread, a little prickly pear, custard apple and creosote, coal tar soap, marzipan and flint.
Finish: Dusty and rich, smoke and intense peaty spices.
Overall: Much like some of the recent official Port Ellens of this age - really fabulous stuff.
