Old Pulteney 1993 Bottling Note
Distilled at Old Pulteney in 1993 and aged in first fill sherry butts before bottling at cask strength by Gordon and MacPhail.
The nose is quite light and sweet. There are notes of caramelised fruits and winter spice. There notes of heather roots and cut herbs, fragrant woods and a resinous note. The palate is of medium-body with richness. There is a thick malmsey note with plenty of winter spice and salty melted butter. Dry oak develops with pepper and sherried peels. The finish is smooth and full of sultanas and peels.
