Mosstowie 31 Bottling Note

A 31 year old Speysider, this was distilled at Miltonduff on the 18th May 1979, it was aged for 31 years in a single hogshead, before bottling by Signatory on the 24th November 2010. A release of 188 bottles. Mosstowie is whisky distilled at Miltonduff from malted barley, but in column stills! Good heavens!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Creamy with a lot of vanilla going on. Some toffee, hints of apple crumble and some fresh floral notes. Rounded and sweet.

Palate: Spicy and led by cocoa, menthol and cinnamon. Some nutmeg/cloves, with black pepper and tropical fruit.

Finish: Good length, with musty woodshed notes, and a hint of candy floss.
