Nose: Caramel and demerara sugar followed by a big whack of fresh fruit and a touch of menthol when water is added.
Palate: Milk chocolate, liquorish and, with water, chocolate sponge cake.
Finish: The finish is anise centred with warming notes of cocoa powder and impressively long.
Overall: A great cask-strength Miltonduff showing its age well.
