What's in a name? Milford 15 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in New Zealand. Were it from America it would be spelled Milford 15 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
The nose is punchy and malty. There are notes of dry oak and orchard fruits with a citric character. The palate is fruity and dry, all spice and ground ginger with aniseed and herbal notes. The finish is hot and nutty with cereal sweetness.
I love this whisky,it's smooth like a 21 yr old glenfiddich but with a fresher taste. I drank a bottle and kept one, I'll drink it one day,it's fab! :-P
