Rather smoky with a classic Island flavour - think coastal notes and thick malt. Our Island single malt is from an unnamed distillery, and we can't specify the age. The result of this is we can buy and sell these bottles at ridiculously low prices considering how good the whisky is. Try it, try and guess where it's from and post your comment below if you think you know! (We can't tell you though, it's a secret!)
Dry and distinctly Island in style, but with a waft of cool wood smoke lying something underneath a sweet/salty note. Good malt notes, some spice, vanilla from the oak.
A great balance between a malty, almost caramel-like sweetness and hints of oily smoke. It becomes more oily, with a touch of bergamot late-palate.
Good length, mouth-coating, with a pinch of nutmeg.

not even bought a bottle yet but it just says jura .. gettin one now ....
Sure it's a young Ardbeg?
It's true that it has a sweet malty note, but it's quite peaty and makes me think of Ardbeg...
Tried this evening, immediate thought was Jura from the colour alone. Nice smoky taste, not very peated but still west coast - still thinking Jura.
amirite?
