This is a twenty year old Longmorn from indie bottlers Adelphi, rocking tropical fruits and candle wax aromas. Intriguing whisky indeed!
Toffees and grapefruit meander out of the glass first then comes candle wax and honeyed dates.
The dates become more intense before an amazing sweetness surges over the palate.
The finish is long and creamy with dates, bananas and honey all converging.
A seemingly different take on the classic Longmorn but very drinkable as a result.
