Loch Lomond 21 Year Old (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
Those magical beings at Loch Lomond keep making marvellous whisky, and That Boutique-y Whisky Company keep on independently bottling it up! This one is a 21 year old single grain whisky (as opposed to a single malt or blended malt or blend, which Loch Lomond are also capable of making at its decked out distillery), boasting a full-bodied flavour profile of vanilla, fruit and oak. Witchcraft? Possibly. Delicious? Definitely.
Batch 4 is a release of 502 bottles.
‘That Boutique-y Whisky Company’ bottles single malts, single grains and bourbons from a variety of renowned distilleries as well as producing award-winning blended malts and blends. These whiskies are adorned with cultish graphic novel-style labels.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Freshly baked apple turnover, sweet barley and lemon marmalade are prominent among a touch of dried grass and vanilla custard.
Palate
Nutty oiliness and a prickle of spice add depth to luxurious vanilla and rich toffee.
Finish
Buttery malt lingers.
Overall
A delectably sweet and delicious dram from Loch Lomond.
