The traditional name for the Linkwood distillery, Linkwood-Glenlivet, is used on this WM Cadenhead independent bottling. The single malt Scotch whisky was distilled in 2001 and bottled in October 2013. It enjoyed its 12 year maturation period in a bourbon hogshead and produced 246 cask strength bottles.

A beautifully clean, elegant and slightly lemony/zesty whisky with a lovely sweet, very creamy and vanilla'd midpalate and a nice fresh and slightly white peppery finish. Textbook Linkwood, also showcasing properly a pure/naked style of "distillate driven" Whisky close to the distillate rather than that of a wood driven style from an over active cask. An absolute bargain at that price! S.
