Apple Pastry 1991 - Wemyss Malts (Linkwood)
Imagine popping into the bakery for a danish and coming out with a bottle of Apple Pastry, a spectacular single cask whisky from Wemyss. It's probably not going to happen, although you could pretend that we're a bakery because Master of Malt is short for Master of Malt Loaf and make that imagination a reality.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
As luck would have it, there's a definite whiff of apple turn-overs, along with sugary sweets from the corner shop.
Palate
Further twangs of green apples, now with a spicy dusting of nutmeg that grows from the centre.
Finish
A subtle wood spreads like warm butter, which also happens to crop up.
Overall
Very moreish, Apple Pastry really is as much of a treat as the name suggests.
