Linkwood 26 Year Old Port Cask Finish (Special Release 2008)
Released in 2008, a cask strength from the Linkwood distillery, finished in Port pipes for a thick mouthfeel and fruity, dark notes.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
The nose is light and peppy. There are notes of tangy citrus with marmalade. A hint of grenadine with crème de cacao and fudge. Acacia honey emerges with hints of beeswax and cut herbs. The palate is quite light and very well-balanced. There are notes of vanilla fudge, there are cereal notes and barley sugars, notes of muscavado and winter spice. The finish is peppery and punchy with fragrant woods.
