Another superb cask strength Linkwood from Adelphi, aged in cask 5266, with a much lighter hue than cask 5269. This was distilled in 1984 and aged for 26 years before bottling in 2011 with an out-turn of 113 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rich, fruity nose with cooked apples, plum and dates. Malty, biscuity, with hints of oak.
Palate
Thick, malty core with toasty oak, a little coffee, caramelised sugar and toffee apples.
Finish
Long finish, trailing away on berry fruits and toast.
