A fine 20 year old Linkwood distilled in 1991 and bottled for Duncan Taylor's Octave range (which involved finishing the whisky in smaller "octave" casks for added excitement.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buttery and rich with spicy notes of pecan pie, maple syrup and coffee beans. A big slab of malt, a touch of sherry and orange peel.
Palate
Thick and sherried, creamy notes of vanilla, peaches and peels. Stem ginger, candy floss and rye.
Finish
Good length with winter spices and honey.
