Laphroaig 1993 Bottling Note

This is an eighteen year old Laphroaig from Douglas Laing's Old Malt Cask series, this is a limited release and packs plenty of Laphroaig medicinality into one bottle.

The Old Malt Cask range began as a release of fifty bottlings in 1998 to commemorate Douglas Laing's fiftieth anniversary. Today they offer many, many more. All bottlings in the range are non-chill filtered and contain no naughty colouring.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Fresh sea air followed by a symphony of TCP, peat, liquorish and iodine.

Palate: Vanilla paves the wave for peat, chlorine and black pepper in a wonderfully rounded palate.

Finish: Lots of spicy medicinality accompanied with beach bonfire smoke.

Overall: Laphroaig doing what it does best: peat, TCP and sweet vanilla.
