Laphroaig 12 UCF Bottling Note

This Laphroaig was distilled on the 1st July 1999 and it was aged for 12 years in hogsheads 700042 and 700043 before bottling on the 6th October 2011. A release from Signatory of 744 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Potpourri, kippers, tangy fruit, iodine, salinity and dry smoke in a smokehouse.

Palate: Zesty and tangy with a lot of apple, almond and peat. Seaweed, old ropes, brine and lemon juice. Wood smoke too.

Finish: Stem ginger in syrup, marzipan, iodine, sticking plasters on fire.
