Whisky or Whiskey

Insider knowledge: Lagavulin 1991 Pedro Ximénez Finish - Distillers Edition whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Lagavulin 1991 Pedro Ximénez Finish - Distillers Edition whiskey, as opposed to whisky.

Lovely after dinner dram

Rating (4.5)

Had this with a filter coffee after dinner. Perfect digestif; thick, sweet, possibly the easiest Lagavulin. Not complex, just syrupy smooth, light smoke, chewy and warming.

Beautiful

The classic Islay peat and smoke profile balances delicately against the PX influences making a perfect balance of flavors. This is my favorite Islay expression so far.
