Here we have a 24 year old anCnoc single malt from the Knockdhu distillery up in the Scottish Highlands, and anCnoc translates to ‘up the hill’ in Gaelic. Made using traditional production methods, this whisky is an expression not often seen on these shores, and is made without colouring or chill filtering.
Christmas cake with a splash of lemon juice and vanilla custard.
Rich and citrus forward, think oodles of lemon peel and marmalade with creamy vanilla toffee and honeyed barley.
Old leather and tannic oak rounding it out with a hint of orange peel.
A gift from the best of friend. Surprise, surprise, this one shows a shy first nose, then a deceptively gradually most powerfully captivating full flavour mouthful. Like walking along the beach with the ocean air gently circling. Butterscotch, clementine and sea salt chocolates will bounce ever lightly over your tongue. Betzy
Smooth and delicious easy on the palate yet very distinctive
Love it. So smooth. Taste lingers long in the mouth. No peat or smoke. Really pleased that I bought it.
This, for me, is the best value dram on the market. Big flavours and outstanding quality for the same price as a reasonable 18yo, buy it before you miss out!
I purchased 5 bottle of this 24 year old single malt. Why 5 bottle you ask? Because they didn't have 6... what a wonderful drink. If you can find it,you should buy it. The cost is not cheap but for the taste is well worth it.
