Bottling Note
A fantastic little whisky from Murray McDavid's acclaimed Mission Cask Strength series. This was distilled in 1984, and aged in a single cask before bottling with an outturn of 252 numbered bottles. An intense, rich Highland Park.
Nose: Honey, beeswax, maritime ropes, hints of seaspray, heather, barley malt and a little black pepper.
Palate: Spicy, hints of fruit and more of that beeswax. Manuka honey on buttered granary toast, a little apple peel and pepper.
Finish: Honey, smoke and spices.
