Distilled on the 30th June 1987 at the Highland Park distillery, this was aged for 24 years in hogsheads 1544 and 1545 before bottling on the 3rd November 2011. This was bottled for Signatory's Vintage line and is a release of, worryingly, 666 bottles!
Manuka honey and heather, some grassiness, peat smoke, salinity and buttery toffee.
Sweet and herbal. Some more heather notes, a touch of cool wood smoke, runny honey on granary toast and beeswax.
Good length with herbal notes and a little brine.
