Whisky or Whiskey

Interesting fact… Highland Park 1970 - Rare Old (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Scotland. Had it been produced in America its name would be Highland Park 1970 - Rare Old (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, instead of whisky.

Highland Park 1970 Bottling Note

Distilled in 1970 at the Highland Park distillery and aged in sherry before bottling by Gordon and MacPhail in 2008.

Highland Park 1970 Tasting Note

The nose is rich with green, stemmy hay notes. Hints of heather roots and boiled sweets, acacia honey and eucalyptus oil. The palate is full with a chewy mouth feel. Notes of dark sugar and toasty cereal. Chocolate, honeyed sweetness and liqourice with a nuttiness. The finish is long and warming with spice and an earthen character.
