Nose: Amazingly tropical nose, we get all sorts, from guava to passion fruit, and even a hint of pineapple (this must have been aged in a very good cask!). Some berry fruits, hints of caramel latte, a little black pepper.
Palate: Creamy and full bodied. All of the whiskies in this range are intensely complex and spicy. Explosive notes of Oloroso sherry, some nutmeg and similar Christmas spices. A little apple peel, manuka honey and throat lozenges.
Finish: Ends all on sherry flavours: dates, walnuts, prunes. Textbook stuff...
