Glengoyne
Scotland
Single Malt
This Summer distillation from Glengoyne is part of a limited release of 632 bottles from cask number 629, distilled on 27th May 1985 and bottled at cask strength in August 2006.
The nose is rich and pungent. Notes of sherried fruits and citrus creeping in. There is a thick sugared peel character with notes of cut herbs and dark toffee. The palate is rich and thick. The sherry is in prominent position with a slight vinous note. A touch of port creeps in with acidic, tannic oak to chew. The finish is long with grape and white wine and a touch of oak as it fades.
my favourite dram ever.... I only have four bottles left, that i dare not open another one for a long while... def not worth lockdown collection depletion... :-)
