Glengoyne 19 Year Old 1984 Winter Distillation
This Glengoyne is a limited release of 576 bottles from cask no. 1464, distilled in 1984 and bottled in May of 2004 at cask strength.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
The nose is rich and pungent. Notes of hot buttered toast, toffee and leather notes. There are hints of faint, distant smoke with cooked fruits, a little calvados and fruit salad with a touch of salinity as the smoke develops. The palate is full and rich with spice and pep. There are notes of dry oak and eucalyptus oil, herbal tones, a little Seville marmalade and fresh pain au chocolate and vanilla cream. The finish is long with marzipan and dry oak.
