Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1965
Distilled in 1965 and matured in a sherry butt before release in 2010 as part of the Glenfarclas Family Cask collection. This is a heathery, sweet and toffee like whisky. This was aged in cask number 4362, which had an outturn of 440 bottles.
Spicy, dark sugar, feinty. Soft leather. rubber. Nutty. Potpourri, earthen.
Rich, spicy. Honey, liquorice, menthol. Muscovado.
Fresh, crisp, developing oak.

I bought this as a gift for a 70th birthday - it was very well received and I had a little sip too. I ordinarliy do not like whisky but have to confess I could have managed this one. I cannot comment further than that as I am a heathen when it comes to whisky.
