Glenfarclas 1953 - 58 Years Old

I bought this because I really liked the box. I use it for my stamp collection. Worth every penny.

I brought a bottle with me to the Marlins game and was drinking it from the bottle when a fouled ball struck the nose of my face, ruining an otherwise great drink of Scottish whisky. I kept bottle at hand and had a few more sips during the game, but the fear of being struck by another ball kept me from appreciating this whisky.

At this point are we just not paying for rarity rather than taste?

I was gifted with two drams of this incredible product! While I am a fan of Glenfarclas this was a world apart.

I remember it quite vividly the day I decided that I needed a stiff drink after a terrible day in the office. I won't bore with too many details but let me just say the vicar arrived and I had to put the scrabble away pretty quickly. I think we have all been there once in a while so most of you will understand the requirement for a drink after that. I brought a cheeky couple of bottles of this from MasterOfMalt thinking that sometimes once you open the bottle it just needs to be drank and its always nice to have one in reserve in case the Queen or your local MP arrives mid tipple. I have read some good reviews but in all I agree with the comments from the gentleman who watched the baseball. Firstly I thought did he need the drink to sit through the Marlins game however I have actually seen a Marlins / Rangers game and thought it was a cracking day out. Now you must be asking in what respect the reader agrees with him. Well it's the luck aspect, when I opened the bottle it was like a mix of horror films all occurring at the same time. Firstly the washing machine broke and sent soap all over the place. Now the irony here was I needed a drink to get over the shock of what happened but I believe it was the drink that brought me this bad luck. What is a man to do in such a situation? The words of Chuck Berry hit "Johnny B. Goode" came to mind so I thought well better get a shot glass out and fight this one through. I poured my drink and took a sip which was promptly followed by a gas explosion. I pondered this for a while.... during this time however I realised the chocolate taste with hints of washing powder came to my pallet. This was quite a shock. Subtle tastes, not too over powering at all. I rang a friend and told him, he wasn’t interested. In all I must admit this is a whisky I would buy again and again. It does bring some interesting luck to the drinker, everything from a baseball in the face to a gas explosion and most things in-between. I didn't even mention the hoards of raving Vikings purely because I did not believe it was worth talking about in detail. It didn't even make the 6pm news! Local or BBC. Was the whisky interesting - yes. Would I recommend it - yes (with caution) is my washing machine fixed - yes (at the cost of £135.67)

Poured this little beauty into my ride on lawnmower and it went like the clappers. The engine has never felt so refined. I suppose I can be a little flexible with my cash after winning £148 million in the Euromillions but hey, why not have the best if you can afford it. No more Tesco fuel for me!

For those who are interested in investing in such products this is a good one to start with. It is an expensive product but give it a number of years if you so wished to sell it I am sure you would get your money back. I have invested in some wine's and other types of whisky before and the value of 99% of them have actually increased faster than gold.

Last week I had a sample. The best whisky ever tasted and it's not only my view. Taste it if you can afford it!

I work maintenance at a high end townhomes in Texas and found a bottle under a pot of gold, well guarded by an angry unicorn. All attempts to sway said unicorns were futile until I realized the unicorn was fake, as was the pot of gold. Party decorations I assume. My excitement was short-lived when I found the bottle was...... EMPTY!!! Bummer. I bet its really good.

I order online as often as I can afford, usually Lagavulin £60 - £80 per bottle, in 2010 I mistakenly recieved this and after researching what I was sent I made the choice not to report it or send it back!, I am not usually one for keeping whiskey in much, I will buy with the intent to drink (more than not, in one sitting), the same applied here - after taking piccies to upload online I opened and whilst my friends (who are not big whiskey lovers) sat back with their beers - I proceeded to enjoy the whole bottle! I have still not to this day tasted such a fine whiskey!

It was the long hot summer of 2011. I got home from my factory job, switched on the news and found out it was all going off just a mile up the road. I grabbed whatever was to hand in the cupboard and dived out to join the political overthrow of the bourgeoisie. Passing many good townsfolk coming the other way in notably fashionable sports footwear, i made my way toward the battle lines and burning cars. On arrival, i doused a J cloth, stuffed it in the top, sparked it up and launched my bottle of Glenfarcas 1953 - 58 Years Old toward the fast approaching establishment oppressors with a stirring war-cry of 'Smash The State!'. Unfortunately my aim was off - i hit a garden wall and only managed to torch a nearby wheelie bin. As six officers restrained me face down on the pavement, i discerned citrus caramelised vanilla and a pleasing paraffin quality to the afterburn.
