Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1954
Distilled on 16th June 1954 at the Glenfarclas distillery and bottled on 27th July 2000, part of a rare release of just 1,193 bottles.
Lush sherry, sultanas, peels, beautifully tannic oak. Barley, malt. Just a touch of peat. Fresh herbs.
Rich, sublime balance. Rum spice, dark sugar, buttery, fudge, pastries, digestive biscuit.
Long, oaky, bitter espresso, malt, biscuity.

Absolutely amazing bottle, 46 year old bliss !
Tried this at a tasting last monday. Lacks overall intensity, and some sulphury notes. The 6 year younger farclas is much much better.
Sounds absolutely delicious, unfortunately I will never be able to buy it.......
