Glendronach 40 1972 Bottling Note

Aged in Oloroso Butt number 710 for a full 40 years, this is truly brilliant stuff from the Glendronach distillery. It was distilled in 1972 and was bottled at natural cask strength in 2012.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Rich and dark aromas. Hints of chocolate, honey and toffee apples. Black pepper and prune juice.

Palate: Chocolate-covered Brazil nuts. A touch of Christmas cake, smoked prune juice (it does exist) and dried figs. A little allspice and dark brown sugar.

Finish: Cedar and pipe tobacco. Spiced.
