Sherry

A 28 year old, 1989 vintage Glendronach, aged in a single cask (number 4885 - which happens to be a delicious Moscatel sherry barrel). There are just 286 bottles at natural cask strength.
Dried oak, potpourri. Hints of rosewater, ginger, mandarin, cedar and pipe tobacco. A little smoked almond note develops.
Sherried and very thick. Notes of aniseed, pepper, balsamic vinegar, dates, walnuts and sticky toffee pudding.
A fruity, bittersweet finish with almond and chocolate.
