Interesting fact… Glenburgie 1963 (Gordon and MacPhail) whisky spells its name whisky as it originates in Scotland. Had it been produced in America its name would be Glenburgie 1963 (Gordon and MacPhail) whiskey, instead of whisky.
The nose is of medium-body and very smooth. There are notes of dried ropes with a touch of tar, apple blossom and dried herbs with sultanas and sherried peels. The palate is of good body with a silken delivery. The mouthfeel is quite chewy with notes of sherried peels and mixed fruits, marmalade and rum with light oak and chewy, subdued smoke.
