Gordon & MacPhail
Scotland
Single Malt
Matured in first fill and refill sherry casks, this was distilled in 1964 at the Glen Grant distillery, a classic Speyside.
The nose is quite rich and well-balanced with a refined sweetness. Notes of sherried peels and winter spices, particularly cloves. There are hints of mixed peels and notes of fragrant woods with a little floral development. The palate is quite rich and well-balanced with notes of winter spice. There are hints of winter spice and oaken wood smoke. Notes of white pepper develop with a touch of aniseed and crème de menthe. The finish is quite full and long with rich sherried fruits and a gentle smoke.
