Scotland
1 Jan 1964
A single grain whisky from the Girvan grain distillery, distilled in 1964 and a rather rare release.
This bottle was part of a private collection - if you'd like more detailed info and/or photos just get in touch!
Vanilla and hazel nuts followed by green apple and supple oak notes.
Raisins and mounds of vanilla followed by cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
Long with notes of almonds, mixed spice and orangey bourbon.
A fabulous whisky from William Grant's Girvan distillery.

Deep, vibrant, lingering, spicy..... An amazing whisky. No equals!
This Girvan is really good stuff, surprisingly vibrant for the age.
Amazing! Never tasted anything like it. Flavour lingers
So have I - but I am at the same age as the bottle, meaning 50 in 2 years, then I will try it (or maybe I´ll wait for our 75 year anniversary!)
