What's in a name? Fettercairn 40 Year Old whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Fettercairn 40 Year Old whiskey, rather than whisky.
This is a heavily sherried whisky with big notes of candied orange peel, cinnamon and sweet mincemeat. The palate is treacle like with red fruits and spices on the finish.
