This independently bottled 27 year old Dalmore single malt might not have the stag's head on the bottle, but it is still definitely a thing of beauty. It was distilled in June 1986 and matured in cask 3093 until September 2013, when it was bottled by Montgomerie's with an outturn of 213 bottles.

This bottle was distilled on my exact birthdate, June 19th 1986. I could not have requested a better bottle of Dalmore. Very close to the dried cherry, orange chocolate style of the house Dalmore. since there are no reviews or tasting notes I will make this easy for master of malt. Nose: dried dark cherry, fresh and crisp, chocolate covered sunmaid rasins, sherry oak with cinnamon and ginger. Palate: creamy black cherry yogurt, rasin jelly with black pepper, rich sherry oak, slight candied red liquorish. Finish: velvet mouthfeel, creamy sweet cherry with cinnamon and ginger, rich but fresh creamy sherry with dark fruits, figs, prunes, dates and oak. This bottle is of the highest recommendation from someone who greatly appreciates fine bottles of single malt scotch. Pairs well with a Cuban Cohiba robusto or Fuente lost city forbidden X pyramid. Best to enjoy without a cigar first so you can enjoy all the flavors of the scotch with no interference.
