Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 1992

A Gordon and MacPhail release from the Highland distillery, Dalmore, this 12 year old was distilled in 1992, matured in refill sherry casks and bottled in 2004. A spicy, citrussy offering.
The nose is quite fresh with stemmy hay and malty barley. Notes of heather smoke and a gentle cereal mouth feel with zesty orange. The palate is quite delicate and refined; there are notes of zesty orange and orange liqueur, hints of blossom and a subtle chocolate. A little anise and fennel creeps in with a touch of spice. The finish is of medium-length, there is a good balance as it fades out with a touch more orange zest and dry, peppery oak.
