This was aged for 27 years in refill sherry cask 4319 before it was bottled by Adelphi at natural cask strength. A release of 219 bottles, bottled in 2011.
Hints of nutmeg and cinnamon, charred oak and burnt bananas. A little nail polish character with a touch of rancio and apple strudel.
Hints of subtle smoke, with nutmeg and cloves, some custard, stewed fruit, toffee and pepper.
Vanilla sweetness and a mix of spices. Very intense, with apple peels on the tail.
