Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 2001
A peated single malt from select single cask 223, just 434 bottles have been released. This was distilled in February 2001 and bottled in September 2005 under the Craiglodge label.
The nose is quite light and very well balanced. The barley is clear with gristy abandon and notes of wood shavings and cereal notes. There are tones of smoke and earthen roots. The palate is quite sweet and light with plenty of fruit. Calvados, Poire William and notes of spicy pepper and smoke from the oak. The finish is of good length with good balance and peppered warmth.
