Craigellachie 1990 Bottling Note
A Speyside single malt, bottled by Gordon and MacPhail as part of their Connoisseur's Choice range, this 1990 vintage from the Craigellachie distillery is a rich, full-bodied dram.
The nose is sweet and fruity. Estery note emerge with creamy vanilla and toasty winter spice. Subtle herbal notes linger with rubbed peppermint and dry wood. The palate is rich and full with a syrupy mouth feel. There are notes of winter spice and menthol. A little buttery vanilla develops with fruit and wood smoke. The finish is full and long with a bitter sweetness with superb balance between oak and barley.
