Craigellachie Octave Bottling Note

A cask strength Craigellachie from Duncan Taylor's Octave range. This was distilled in 1999 and aged for 12 years - some of which time was spent in a small octave cask which imparted additional spice and richness to the whisky.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: A youthful, sweet, spicy cereal-rich Speysider, with notes of vanilla cream, nutmeg and cinnamon. Hints of malt, dandelion and burdock and apple peel.

Palate: Fruity and sweet with notes of tropical fruits and malt, a little maple spice and barrel char. Very juicy.

Finish: Spiced, long finish with notes of coffee beans and wood ash.
