In case you hadn't cracked it yet - we will have to come clean here...

The extraordinary scientific breakthrough developed by Dr Brian Cocks, may have something to do with the fact it was announced on April Fools’ Day 2013.

Nope, the Leggavulin Distiller's Eggdition and the Laphregg Quarter Cock surprisingly aren't real either. (Sorry about that!)

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: An even whack of gloopy egg, rich peat, and spicy sherry. A truly intr-egg-ing aroma.

Palate: The sherry comes to the fore with a lip-smacking drying quality. Albumen coats the mouth.

Finish: This is no yolk! (It was.) Heavy and rich but perfectly balanced. Drying, long, and smoky. Egg-cellent.

Overall: The perfect ingredient for a late-night frittata...

    One my Grandmother would suck on

    This latest clutch was Ardboiled at the beginning of the Hentury and has caused quite a flap. The Parson's Nose is full, offering memories of Kentucky nights with a whisp of wild sage and allium followed by yolky Advocaat, but it's difficult to say which comes first; The Finish is egg-squisite, with hints of Wishbone Ash free-ranging across the tongue competing with the fresh woody tones of American Yolk and a subtle waft of eggy poops. The Finish - yes, it's not Ova, long and memorable like freshly dipped soldiers. Overall, an all round good egg..
