Whisky or Whiskey

What's in a name? Caperdonich 41 Year Old 1969 Cask 3245 - Rarest of the Rare (Duncan Taylor) whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Caperdonich 41 Year Old 1969 Cask 3245 - Rarest of the Rare (Duncan Taylor) whiskey, rather than whisky.
