Caol Ila - 1996 Bottling Note
Caol Ila is near Port Askaig in Islay and this sixteen year old whisky has been bottled by Douglas Laing for their Old Malt Cask range. All the whiskies in the Old Malt Cask range are bottled without chill filtration or colouring.
Chlorine scented peat with floral heather and a little salted honey on the nose. The palate boasts structured peat smoke notes with some white pepper for spice. The finish is moderate with notes of smoke and vanilla.
