A single cask Whisky from Caol Ila Distillery, bottled by Signatory as part of their Cask Strength Collection. A 1982 vintage, this has been aged for 29 years.
Earth, undergrowth and peaty. Buttery Sweet with some meaty notes, followed by Tarmac.
Smoother than the nose suggests but still quite heavily peated. The sweetness is almost floral. Very nice.
Butter and oil with light brown sugar.
An intriguing structure to this Caol Ila; very good.
