Bunnahabhain 31 Cask 9523 Bottling Note

This was distilled at the Bunnahabhain distillery on the 19th September 1979, it was then aged for 31 years in a single refill sherry butt. It was bottled by Signatory on the 14th March 2011. A release of 566 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Peaty and slightly smoky with burnt sugar, bruised rose petals, fresh herbs, potpourri and candy floss.

Palate: Spicy and herbal, with notes of chamomile tea, and raspberry leaf tea. Some pepper, spice, ginger, candy floss again, marshmallows over a fire, and fruit melange.

Finish: Good length, with hints of coconut and raspberry jelly. Slightly smoky.
