What's in a name? Port Charlotte PC7 whisky is called whisky because it's produced in Scotland. Were it from America it would be spelled Port Charlotte PC7 whiskey, rather than whisky.
Nose: Perfumed, spirity. Warmth, spice, pluming smoke. Calvados and coffee liqueur, oak at the back.
Palate: Rich, punchy, apple crumble, esters. Powerful peat smoke, salty butter.
Finish: Long, smoky, peat and spice.
Aroma is rubber and campfire smoke, as promised. Palate is smoke with butterscotch, but a touch sour.
