Insider knowledge: Port Charlotte PC7 whisky is named whisky by virtue of the fact it's from Scotland. If distilled in America the spelling would be Port Charlotte PC7 whiskey, as opposed to whisky.
Nose: Perfumed, spirity. Warmth, spice, pluming smoke. Calvados and coffee liqueur, oak at the back.
Palate: Rich, punchy, apple crumble, esters. Powerful peat smoke, salty butter.
Finish: Long, smoky, peat and spice.
No doubt that this is worth tasting.
